Triple savings on big villas and land plots in Ibiza

There are triple discounts for buyers wanting a custom-built villa in the once booming Ibiza jet-set holiday island.

Land prices are at their lowest for decade and local builders, missing out on the traditional heavy workloads of the property boom years, have lowered their labour costs to keep their skilled workforce intact.

There are bargain “big villa” plots available that have already won hard-earned planning permission during the boom years and this represents another useful cost saving for current would-be buyers. Some are being offered by Spanish banks in order to recover their loans from troubled owners.

Ibiza specialists, PropertyInSpain.Net have attracted many registrations to their “Individual Ibiza” custom-built service and estimate an overall saving of 25-35% on boom years villa construction. Ibiza manager, Ben Walker said: “Plots with planning permission tend to be in excellent locations because of the difficulties and costs associated with gaining approval.

“This means there are land bargains to be grabbed and with local craftsmen builders ready to lower their prices to get this kind of work, overall prices for custom-built villas are at their lowest for a decade in some cases.”

Ibiza pueblo-style or cubist modernist, traditional swimming pool or infinity, spas, gyms, recording studios or discos…Ibiza craftsmen have experienced the most demanding clients during the boom times.
