Hot property bargains in cool, jetset Ibiza
By Sue Brown, 05 Dec 2009
Cool, ultra smart, Ibiza is now the holiday home hotspot for buyers of Spanish property after a decade of steady prices on luxury apartments and villas that attract aficionados from among the international jet set.
The winter property market, where current owners trade-up to bigger, more luxurious properties to rent out to the increasing number of big spending celebrities and pop stars who flock there every summer, already offers big discounts on beachfront apartments and upmarket villas.
Best buys so far are the beachfront luxury apartments at Playa d'en Bossa, recently completed by a well established Island developer. As a result of offplan order cancellations they have a handful of spacious seaview, key ready apartments left on their hands.
Ibiza specialists, PropertyInSpain.Net are offering these online with personal view trips at discounts of EUR 100,000-plus depending on the unit. All enjoy seaviews from their large 30 sq metre balconies and the use of the communal rooftop swimming pool and solarium deck.
All the penthouses, and many other apartments sold offplan, within days of the launch of the development in 2006. High quality finishes, an allocated parking space and the prospect of a large equity gain when plans for a designer promenade and marina are implemented will interest serious buy to rent investors. The promenade is expected to link to the world famous nightlife, bars and restaurants of nearby Ibiza Town, a short walk round the bay.
Typical of the 3-bed, two bath bargains is one unit of 118 sq metres offered with a saving of EUR 130,000 after being reduced from EUR 505,000 to EUR 375,000 which includes all appliances. There are options on furniture packages.
Playa d'en Bossa is a large and exciting international resort, which offers a great variety of bars and clubs, with Ibiza's longest sandy beach and easy access to Ibiza Town nightlife.
PropertyInSpain.Net Ibiza manager, Ben Walker said: “There has been a big demand for this development since we launched it in 2006 and we expect these last bargains to sell quickly – probably to buyers who know the location and the environmental improvement plans of the local council. We provide two-day viewing trips for busy buyers and their choice can be secured on the spot.”
