More on Costa del Sol
The Costa del Sol is famous for its beaches and outstanding golf courses, coupled with some of the finest restaurants and night-spots in Spain. It starts just east of Gibraltar and winds its way through a succession of beautiful bays, coves and extraordinarily scenic areas all the way to the main city and international airport at Malaga.
Marbella is the Queen of this Costa and is at the heart of a string of upmarket resorts and residential areas including Puerto Banus, Estepona, Fuengirola and Torremolinos. There are excellent residential areas all along the Costa del Sol including Sotogrande, developed over two decades to become the home for many international business people attracted by the golf, polo and boating activities.
In Marbella East we offer the stunning new developments of Calahonda, luxury homes built into the hillside for maximum views of the shimmering sea.
Golf will continue to be the big attraction as more courses are built to cater for the ever-growing demand. "Golf valleys" are lined with new bijou developments such as Mijar Golf House, Aloha Hill Club and the Monte Mayor Golf and Country Club.
Not surprising, when the sun shines for 320 days of the year and there are hundreds of leisure attractions around the beaches and Marinas for all the family.
The Costa del Sol has the largest number of British expats who have brought with them a lot of the UK institutions and "home comforts" and many of whom have built new businesses serving the residential community and the locals.
Property prices here are, typically, 20 percent higher than the Costa Blanca and 35 percent high than the Costa Calida. This doesn't diminish the demand for new and re-sale homes along this coast.
There are new developments in varying parts of the coast, many geared to the strong "golf" market with Paraiso de Bahia, one our upmarket gated communities, reminding buyers that it is well placed for 30 golf courses, including Sotogrande's Valderrama Golf.
