Orihuela's Monuments
Thanks to its historical and cultural past, monumental heritage of great artistic value has been preserved in Orihuela, outstanding among which are several buildings classified as Monuments of Cultural Interest. Specifically, these are the Cathedral, the Church of las Santas Justa y Rufina, the Church of Santiago, the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo, the Episcopal Palace and the Tower of Cabo Roig.
Orihuela's Beaches
Just a few kilometres from the city, Orihuela has a 16 km coastline, where cliffs and crystal-clear water alternate with nationally and internationally renowned beaches with fine sand (Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Dehesa de Campoamor and Mil Palmeras). Year after year, these beaches are awarded the Blue Flag, which distinguishes clean European coastal areas.
Golf in Orihuela
Orihuela is home to one of the Mediterranean's most impressive range of golfing facilities. A total of 54 holes compose three excellent, internationally-renowned courses, upon which major European tournaments are played.
